Are we becoming more n more omnipresent with all the connectivity/ gizmos and stuff ...? is the modern science helping everyone become 'Godly' ?
This was rather a statement from one of my net friends who creates fancy almightys', like many around ... and this is what I had to say !
Since the Vedic scriptures point to the 64 attributes of God which are in Absolute form, let me compare few of them to the claims made here.From there scriptures I never hear anywhere any mention that God uses any instrument to be omnipresent. Vedas say He has the potency to be personally present everywhere without restriction of time and space. So its nice to say we are using information technology to be omnipresent, meaning we are depending on something, but One of the Absolute qualities of God is Atmaraama - Self suffecient. So unless we are depending on something,we cannot compare ourselves to this attribute of God. Well we cannot even see our own face without a mirror.The living conditions are going up ! - Ok this is subjective. Since all people may have their own perceptions abt ''good living conditions''.
I personally think the good conditions to live are when I''m sure that I will not fall prey to any decease I''ll never grow old, I''ll always look 16 years oldand so will all my near and dear ones, next thing I''d desire is none of us die. what do you say??? you can answer me saying, scientists are workingon that, well lets get practical and consider only what we have.If your perception of good conditions are living like a well earning american with all american facilities, well ask them how many pills they pop in to get sleep.Finally the difference is that we sleep on a smooth platform with an american dream and the dog has its siesta under the lamp post .. and fat bone dream ... whatever but once either of them falls asleep its the same pleasure both enjoy. Now lets get the statistics as to who get better sleep, filthy rich man sleeping with his security guards on leave or the dog sleeping outside his gate ?
Well going back 100 years - its a messy time with all colonialism and wars and stuff- lets go back 5000 years. ..............

Relativity - Mention of so many instances of different ages in different planets - Maharaja Dasharath used to travel to other planets to virtually increase his age - Garuda Purana. Another instance...one king (I''m tryign to remember his name) who came to help the devatas to fight the demons and by the time he returned to earth, he was shocked to see centuries had passed and several dynasties had come to life and vanished, so finally he renounces everything, goes into the cave to do Tapasya. With all this I think they never claimed they have become Godly or God, yes there is a mentionof some like Hiranyakashipu/ Hiranyaksha who hated Shri Vishnu and they wanted everyone to chant their name and worship them.... Ultimately we know what happened, it was Vinaasha kalena Vipareetha Buddhi.
Bottomline is that lets just Wake Up !!.
